In the afternoon of Nov 15 local time, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Vice President of the State Council Li Yuanchao came to the NAGAD Station of Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway designed by SIYUAN to inspect the construction conditions of the project and to visit the on-site CRCC staff.

At 4:30 pm, Mr. Li Yuanchao arrived at the NAGAD station, and took photos with CRCC staff representatives.

“Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway is a major highlight of China-Africa cooperation, it is a project of friendship, a project of quality, and a project of safety.” Mr. Li Yuanchao said, this railway line not only represents the friendship between China-Djibouti and China-Ethiopia, but is also the railway line that bears the effort and hard work of designers, managers, and construction personnel, all railway workers are meritorious.

When receiving Mr. Zhou Chenghan, person in charge of the on-site design of SIYUAN Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway project, Mr. Li Yuanchao kindly asked Mr. Zhou Chenghan when he participated in the design of Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway and how long he has been in Djibouti.

SIYUAN is responsible for the feasibility study of the entire line section within Djibouti, the preliminary design and detail design for the 40km Holhol-Nagad section, and the entire design for the 11.2km port extension.

In September 2012, our project team went to Djibouti NAGAD-Ethiopia border for inspection, in March 2013, we started on-site survey, and in June 2014, the entire detail design was completed. After 3 years’ of on-site construction cooperation, this project is successfully completed.

In the process of survey and design promotion of Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway Djibouti section, SIYUAN has achieved the highest speed in the design of overseas railways.?
